Karrie Fogg, President
Fred's Towing & Transport
Hi, I’m Karrie, your 2023 TRPNC President. When I started with Fred’s Towing in 2012, I had no idea where this industry would take me or the people that I’d get to meet. I have been honored to work beside some of the best in the business and continue to learn something new every day. My goals for the 2023 TRPNC Board is to continue to grow our membership, work with the legislature to get laws passed that keep us safe, and get us paid for the work we do and make our Association one of the best out there. I’m a current member of TRAA and WTRAA and was just recently named WTRAA Tow Woman of the Year, which is a huge accomplishment and honor. Outside of TRPNC, I’m a wife, momma and mimi - all of which are better than any award out there.

Steve Rockwell, Central Vice President
Rockwell Towing Services
Grew up in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania. Graduated from McGuffey High School in 1983. Graduated from Vale Technical Institute in December 1984 with a degree in automotive technology. Got placed at a GMC dealership in Southern Pines NC then moved to a Chevrolet dealer the same year where I was a line mechanic. Started driving their wrecker on nights and weekends in August 1985 then full-time with shop duties.
In June 1988 I went into business as Rockwell Towing as we are still today. We are a light to heavy-duty service with a shop that mainly focuses on most aspects of trailer repair for the horse, landscaping, and construction industry. We also install hitches, do mig and tig welding on steel and aluminum, and are a dealer for Rhino Linings truck bed liners. We employ 8 full-time employees and are located in Aberdeen NC.
Jerry Barbour, Jr., Eastern Vice President
Barbour’s Towing & Truck Repair
As a Raleigh native and someone who grew up in the towing business and whose family is still very active in the industry, I am honored to be part of TRPNC’s 2023 Board of Directors. My company, Barbour’s Towing & Truck Repair has been in business for 27 years and we’ve been an active member of TRPNC since 1996. I am excited to work with our new and returning members to build an association that everyone can be proud to be part of. We are located in Raleigh, NC.
Krista Tomasso, Eastern Director
Raleigh Towing & Recovery
I grew up in Boca Raton, FL, and moved to Raleigh in 2009. I started at Raleigh Towing & Recovery as a part-time dispatcher and over the years and a rotator cuff surgery later, Raleigh Towing turned into my full-time position. Through Raleigh Towing, I’ve been a member of TRPNC since 2019 and was excited and honored to be nominated and voted into the Eastern Director position. I have learned so much from each member that I speak with and with each director that I work with every day! I am excited about what this board has to offer and can’t wait to see where we grow from here!
